NID, Kurukshetra
National Institute of Design, Kurukshetra, an autonomous institute is established by the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. Online Applications are invited for the four years Graduate Diploma Program in Design (GDPD) for the academic year 2017-18 at its transit campus located at Government Polytechnic, Umri, Kurukshetra, Haryana.
NID Kurukshetra shall commence its academic program in October/November 2016 with a vision to be a global leader in Design Education & Research, and become a torchbearer for innovative design directions in industry & development sectors, aligned to the various initiatives of the Government of India. For the first batch, total 60-students will be admitted.

Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) and Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD)
Age Limit:
- For Indian Nationals in General Category: Upper age limit for candidates is 20 years
as on 30 June 2018. Only those candidates born on or after 1 July 1998 are eligible to
apply for admission. - For Indian Nationals in Reserved Category (OBC-NCL, SC, ST): Upper age limit for
candidates is 23 years as on 30 June 2018. Only those candidates born on or after 1
July 1995 are eligible to apply for admission. - For Indian Nationals in PwD Reserved Category: Upper age limit for candidates is 25
years as on 30 June 2018. Only those candidates born on or after 1 July 1993 are
eligible to apply for admission. - For Foreign Nationals in Overseas (Supernumerary) Category: Upper age limit for
candidates is 20 years as on 30 June 2018. Only those candidates born on or after 1
July 1998 are eligible to apply for admission.
Educational Qualification:
Applications for academic year 2018–19 are open to applicants who have passed or will appear for higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2017–18 in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, etc.) from any recognised board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE or their equivalent.
